DineKit Now Has Built-In Support

July 25, 2026 · 3 min read

DineKit is free, used by restaurants all over the world — and now, when you get stuck, you can reach a real human without ever leaving your WordPress dashboard. No account, no license key, no support portal to log into. Just type your question and send.

Help, right where you’re working

Most plugins send you off to a forum, a ticket system, or a login page the moment something breaks. DineKit’s new built-in Support panel lives inside your dashboard. Open it, and you can message the DineKit team straight away — all it needs is your name, email, and your question. That’s it.

When we reply, you’ll see it in two places: back in that same screen inside your WordPress dashboard, and in your normal email inbox. So whether you live in wp-admin all day or only check in occasionally, the answer finds you either way.

Track everything without leaving WordPress

Support isn’t just a send button. Every request you make is kept in one place, so you can:

  • See the full history of what you’ve asked
  • Read replies as they come in
  • Mark things as solved once they’re sorted

No hunting through old emails, no wondering whether a message went through. It’s all there, tied to the site it belongs to.

Often, you won’t need us at all

Right alongside the message box is a “Common fixes” panel. It answers the questions we hear most — QR codes returning 404s, confirmation emails not arriving, Stripe stuck in test mode, and more. Each one is a short, plain-English fix you can usually apply in under a minute.

More often than not, that solves the problem before you even need to write to us. And if you’d rather dig in yourself, the full docs cover setup, payments, bookings, and troubleshooting in detail.

Screenshots, on your terms

A picture explains a bug faster than a paragraph, so you can attach a screenshot to any message — paste an image straight in, or pick a file. Here’s the part that matters: the image is stored in your own WordPress media library. The DineKit team only ever receives a link to it. Your storage, your control. Nothing about the file leaves your site except the link you chose to share.

Built to respect your privacy

This is the part we care about most. Support is completely optional, and it’s designed so you never have to trade privacy for help:

  • The wordpress.org support forum still works exactly as before — this is an addition, not a replacement.
  • Nothing is ever sent in the background. A message only leaves your site when you press send.
  • To help us diagnose faster, we can include basic environment info — like your WordPress and PHP version — but only with your consent, and only when you’re asking for help.

For a free plugin, that combination — real human replies, no lock-in, and no data collected behind your back — is the whole point. Support should build trust, not quietly erode it.

One small ask

There’s one gentle thing worth mentioning. After your first accepted order or confirmed booking through DineKit — a genuine win worth celebrating — the plugin may ask, just once, whether you’d consider leaving a review. It’s polite, it’s dismissible, and that’s the end of it. Reviews are how a free plugin like DineKit reaches the next restaurant, but it’s entirely your call.

Try it today

The Support panel is available now in the latest version of DineKit. Update the plugin, open your dashboard, and it’s right there when you need it — and quietly out of the way when you don’t. Curious what else is included? Take a look at all features to see the full picture.
