Built for how cafés actually work

Counter service, changing specials and a cabinet full of bakes. DineKit is made for exactly that, not for fine dining.

Change it in seconds

New seasonal latte, sold-out sausage roll, tweaked price? Edit the menu from your phone and it updates live. No designer, no reprints.

🧁

Made for a changing cabinet

Daily cakes and bakes shift all the time. Add today’s specials in the morning and hide what’s gone — customers only see what you’re actually serving.

📱

QR codes on every table

Customers scan, browse the full menu and check allergens themselves — no waiting at the counter, no laminated card to lose.

💷

Easy price changes

Bean costs gone up again? Adjust a price once and it’s reflected everywhere instantly. Nothing to re-order or re-laminate.

🕒

Opening hours with open-now

Show your hours clearly and let visitors see at a glance whether you’re open right now — handy for the passing trade checking their phone.

🚫

No monthly fees

DineKit is free and open-source. It runs on your own site, so there’s no subscription and no per-order cut taken out of your takings.

Allergens sorted, the honest way

Cafés sell a lot of bakes — and bakes are where the allergens hide. DineKit handles the legal side so you don’t have to keep a scrappy folder behind the till.

  • Tag any item against all 14 UK allergens — from the gluten in a croissant to the nuts in a flapjack.
  • Customers see allergen info on every item when they scan the QR code, before they order.
  • Generate a clean, printable allergen matrix for your staff and for the folder inspectors ask to see.
  • Update an allergen once and it’s corrected on the menu and the matrix together.
Allergen data is there to help you meet UK requirements and keep customers safe — but you’re still responsible for making sure what you enter is accurate for your kitchen.

See it in action

Have a scan through a real café menu — specials, allergens and all — exactly as your customers would.

Questions cafés ask

Is it really free?
Yes. DineKit is free and open-source. You install it on your own WordPress site, so there’s no subscription and nothing taken per order. You own your menu and your data outright.
Can customers order or pay for collection through it?
Not yet. Right now DineKit covers your menu, QR codes, allergens and opening hours. Commission-free ordering and collection are on the way — see the roadmap for what’s coming. We’d rather tell you straight than pretend it’s already here.
Do I need WooCommerce or any other paid add-ons?
No. DineKit is self-hosted and works on its own — no WooCommerce, no bolt-on subscriptions. If you can run a WordPress site, you can run DineKit.
